Mt. Macedon Ale
Pure Drinking Pleasure! Named after one of the major geographical features near Woodend, home of Holgate Brewhouse, this beer has been a prime mover with broad appeal. A deep honey colour garnered using Vienna Malt gives this ale a warm appeal, followed by a delicate caramel malt flavour and finished with a nice balance of piney/resinous hops from the US Pacific North West.
Easy on the taste buds but offering great hop character, this beer matches well with Mediterranean style dishes.

Pilsner
Lager, Lager, Lager!
The biggest selling beer on draught at Holgate Brewhouse. Our Pilsner is a true European style lager - a light straw colour brewed with bucket loads of Czech Saaz hops. This lager is the ultimate session beer, but also offers enjoyment for the beer enthusiast with a clean malt palate and grassy/floral hop aroma and flavour.
Crisp and refreshing anytime, the Holgate Pilsner matches well with seafood or rich dishes such as deep fried fish and chips or pizza. Available in bottle and draught.

White ALe
A true summer thirst quencher! This refreshing Wheat Beer is styled after the famous "wit bier" or white beer of Belgium and similar to the German "wiess biers". It is a hazy light yellow in colour, and during fermentation takes on a white appearance. Holgate White Ale is based on a special combination of wheat and barley malts, lightly hopped and loaded with a delicate combination of fresh Orange Peel and ground corriander seeds - all combining to make a refreshing and easy drinking Ale, perfect for summer conditions.
The Holgate White Ale is an excellent accompaniment to Asian food.
